Vivitrol Injection Service
More than half of patients leaving our inpatient programs choose to use Vivitrol. We only offer an extended-release monthly injection administered onsite at our facilities.
We advocate its use because it aligns with our evident-based treatment philosophy. That is, it has not proven to be habit forming and it also counters the pleasurable effects of opioids and alcohol, making it effective for relapse prevention.
Vivitrol users tend to be 100% committed to staying clean. They are aware that when on Vivitrol, they won’t get the pleasurable effects of their drug of choice, and it can cause the sudden onset of withdrawal symptoms.
We only offer and extended-release monthly injection administered onsite at our facilities

Dual Diagnosis Treatment
A significant portion of Northpoint’s patients reported having a co-occurring mental health condition and a substance use disorder.
Regardless of which condition developed first, we understand that each one affects the other. For that reason we believe that it’s critical to offer integrated treatment programs that address both conditions simultaneously.
Our treatment facilities are staffed with experienced and compassionate teams of psychiatrists, nurses and therapists who make effective dual diagnosis treatment possible.
Medicated Assisted Treatment (MAT)
Depending on specific patient needs, medications are sometimes used in combination with counseling and behavioral therapies to treat mental health conditions and to help decrease drug & alcohol cravings.
The Milliman Outcome Assessment Report
Northpoint prides itself on ethical, effective and caring practices in addiction recovery. We wanted to provide an independent evaluation of our drug and alcohol addiction treatment program. So we contracted Milliman – One of the world’s largest and most reputable companies that provide objective analytical
and actuarial services.
Key Study Highlights
Patients who received both detox and residential rehab treatment showed better outcomes than those only received one type of treatment.
Compared to other patients, those who completed the recommended number of days in the Inpatient Program:
- Fewer returned to Inpatient treatment after leaving
- Spent more time using our Outpatient Therapy services
- Had higher rates of compliance with the urine drug test
Northpoint’s Alumni Program
At Northpoint, we pride ourselves on having a strong alumni program where we continue to engage and connect alumni who have gone through any of our treatment programs.
These supportive interactions include a private Facebook page, in-person events, surveys, an e-newsletter, and an app for phones. We believe, and our data supports, that those who participate in our alumni program are more likely to have long-term success. Once you graduate from your personalized program, you’ll be connected for life.
