At this time, there are no scheduled Alateen meetings in the Wapato area. But that does not mean that young people cannot get the support they need. They are welcome to attend Al-Anon meetings at any time. Also, there are Alateen chat meetings online that are appropriate for teenagers between the ages of 13 and 18. These meetings are moderated by an adult.

Drug and Alcohol Treatment for Recovery

12-Step meetings like AA and NA can work very well for some people, but they are not right for everyone. Some people need to begin recovering by going through drug and alcohol treatment first.

Both drug and alcohol detox and rehab can change everything for someone who is addicted. These types of treatment address both the physical and the mental sides of the addiction. Research has shown that people generally have a better chance of recovering when they take this route first.
