East Wenatchee, WA Addiction Resource Guide

East Wenatchee, WA Addiction Resource Guide

East Wenatchee, Washington is a fairly small city. It’s basically a part of Wenatchee although it has some unique differences that make it stand out. Essentially, it’s on the other side of a river. Although East Wenatchee is a fairly small city, it’s growing at a good rate. Many new families are choosing to move here due to the fact that the cost of living is fairly low.

East Wenatchee is located in Douglas County. Unfortunately, this county has seen a rise in drug addiction rates. In fact, from 2002 to 2004, only 9.0 out of 100,000 people in this county would seek drug addiction treatment for an opioid addiction. From 2011 to 2013, this number jumped to 50. That’s a 457.9% increase!

Substance abusers in East Wenatchee should seek drug and alcohol addiction help as soon as possible. There’s no need to wait. Those who wait will only see their addiction worsen with time. Fortunately, there are quite a few addiction resources in East Wenatchee. Those who are confused as to where they should start looking can check out this guide or contact us for help. Drug and Alcohol Detox and Rehab Facilities

Professional assistance can help many drug and alcohol abusers navigate their way to recovery. Those who get admitted to either a drug rehab or an alcohol rehab will learn the skills needed to cope with cravings and manage addictive behaviors. They’ll learn how to become the best version of themselves.

When looking for the right drug and alcohol treatment center, one of the most important things to consider is the level of care that’s needed. There are two options to choose from.

  • Inpatient treatment programs. Inpatient care is highly recommended to first-time offenders and to those struggling with a severe addiction. Clients who choose this option will be asked to move into the rehab facility. They will stay there for anywhere from 28 to 90 days. These clients only leave the facility once they have completed their addiction treatment plan. Clients who choose this option will receive around-the-clock care.
  • Outpatient treatment programs. Outpatient care is a lot more flexible. Clients don’t need to stay at the treatment center. They simply come and go depending on their schedule. Some clients will opt for a more intense type of outpatient treatment program, like a Partial Hospitalization Program. Others may decide that they’re more suited for an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP).

There aren’t any rehab centers in East Wenatchee that offer either inpatient or outpatient treatment center. With that said, those who are willing to cross into Wenatchee will find two to three options available. These rehab centers offer both inpatient and outpatient care.

Recovery Meetings and Support Groups in East Wenatchee

Substance abusers need to have some type of support in order to achieve lifelong sobriety. Even if they get support from family and friends, this may not be enough. They may still feel misunderstood or not heard. That’s because they’re friends or family may not be able to relate to what they’re going through. They don’t understand how an addiction works and may base their responses on assumptions that they have made.

One of the best ways to get support is via recovery meetings. Both in-person and online meetings can be equally as effective. Many drug abusers and alcoholics will choose to go to in-person meetings most of the time, and use online meetings as a type of supplement.

Recovering alcoholics should highly consider going to Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) meetings. These meetings deal specifically with topics and issues that surround alcohol addiction. They teach members how to deal with alcohol cravings and how to avoid triggers. These meetings also provide a safe space for recovering alcoholics to share their frustrations and personal struggles.
