What to do for Alcohol Poisoning in Sandpoint

Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation Centers in Sandpoint

There are 3 rehab facilities in Sandpoint that can be helpful for those suffering with substance addiction. One of them is greatly focused on teens and young adults with substance problems.

There is one that welcomes court ordered alcohol and addiction treatment for DUI/DWI offenders. There is outpatient counseling available as well as detox services, which are part of a detox program. Within Sandpoint, there are holistic and alternative treatments available.

There is one facility that offers drug and alcohol detox in Sandpoint. They offer medically-assisted detox like buprenorphine and suboxone treatment. They also offer holistic detox. It is very challenging to successfully detox at home. Getting professional detox is going to ease the withdrawal symptoms that come from abstaining. In the case of alcohol detox, it can be dangerous to attempt this on your own because of the dangerous side effects. Throughout detox, you’ll be monitored. You will medications that help you with your symptoms when necessary. Once you’ve completed detox, you will be in the right headspace to take on the psychological reasons for your addiction.

Are you looking for a Sandpoint rehabilitation clinic or perhaps one outside of your hometown? We have created this section to give you a few different treatment options. It’s almost impossible to recover from drug or alcohol addiction by yourself. One of the best ways to fully recover is to go through detox and psychological support. Having peers support you is going to help you in the long term also.

At Northpoint, we have an inpatient rehab facility in Boise, ID. We also have two Intensive Outpatient Programs in Nampa and Boise. Maybe you want to get far away from home while you focus on your addiction recovery. If this is the case, we have an inpatient facility located right in Seattle, Washington.

Getting addiction help in Sandpoint is going to greatly improve your chances of a full recovery. They offer multi-tiered support that has been shown to help with lifelong recovery and prevents misuse of drugs and alcohol. Treatment programs are as follows:

Residential Treatment Programs

There are 3 options for inpatient rehab in Sandpoint. You may opt to get treatment further from home because you have more options. You may also want the anonymity that rehab far from home gives you. Within a residential treatment program, there is holistic and medical treatment. Alcohol and some drugs may require tapering because of the nature of the bodies dependence on them. For example, alcohol and benzodiazepine withdrawal can cause seizures in some patients. For those who will need medical treatment, they will usually do a residential treatment program. This is known as an inpatient treatment program.

An inpatient treatment program traditionally lasts for 28 days. Some may be 14 days, some may last up to 90 days. What happens within the treatment is the same as it’s been proven to be very effective. When you’re going through withdrawal, doctors will be monitoring you and ensuring that you’re in good health. There will be counselors that will help you work through the psychological part of addiction.

For a patient that has been dealing with their addiction for a long time, this type of program is ideal. To learn more benefits of an inpatient drug rehab, centers servicing Sandpoint, Idaho and toll-free hotlines can answer any questions you have.

Partial Hospitalization

PHP programs in Sandpoint are for addicts that have been through a residential treatment program. You can choose appointment times and what treatments you’d like. If you’re looking to recover from addiction but have obligations you want to maintain, this is an excellent option. There are private and public PHP facilities in the Sandpoint area to help with recovery.

Outpatient Treatment Programs

If you have a mild addiction or have gone through other, more intense rehab programs successfully, you may want to consider an outpatient program. This allows you to recover and get the help you require when you need it. This gives you the freedom to move on with your life knowing that you have support when you need it. The downside is that some people may have a hard time abstaining from the substance they’re addicted to. Sometimes getting out of the household and your daily routine is beneficial. These programs will offer the same treatments as inpatient treatment programs but will cost less. They are more likely to be fully covered by your insurance company too.

Symptoms of withdrawal can be dangerous which is why detox centers are so important. In Sandpoint, there is only one option for detox and it might take some time to get into it. Also, being such a close knit community, you may feel ashamed to be seen going into a detox center.  Within the detox center for drugs or alcohol, you’ll be closely monitored 24/7. This will ensure you feel more comfortable. This is the purpose of a Sandpoint detox center. To make sure you successfully detox in a comfortable way. This is so much more effective than trying to detox at home. Keep in mind, there are Idaho detox centers that can help you with the rest of your healing journey.

Detox centers have one purpose, to provide medical treatment that will ensure you make it through withdrawal. The next phase will involve treating psychological factors. The detox center in Sandpoint may not provide this service but they provide you with a referral. If you’re looking to go through detox, make sure to ask what other services they have and go to one that meets all your needs.

If you’re going through mild withdrawal symptoms or don’t have any symptoms, a detox center is necessarily for you. You could make the choice to go to a recovery center to deal with the psychological addiction. You may feel you’re ready to just attend meetings like the 12-step in Sandpoint. There are many detox centers that don’t provide you with counseling and will focus mainly on physical withdrawal symptoms of addiction. It’s been found that you need a full-spectrum treatment plan to successfully recover.

What to do for a Drug Overdose in Sandpoint

How Much Does Drug and Alcohol Rehab Cost in Sandpoint?

How much rehab will cost you depends on a few things. The program types vary greatly in their costs. You really do get what you pay for in terms of care and the quality of treatment. The funded outpatient rehab programs in Sandpoint don’t give you a lot of individual support. You probably won’t be seeing a therapist that offers one-on-one treatment sessions.

Inpatient rehab is the most expensive option. These programs range too however. There are luxury rehab options that can cost you over $50,000. A standard high quality inpatient rehab that lasts for 28 days is about $20,000. Inpatient detox on its own is about $5,000. Keep in mind that these costs may be paid partially or in full by your insurance company.

Every insurance plan has to include coverage to some capacity. Work with your insurance company to see what you’re entitled to. It may be that you can take a high quality inpatient rehab program for no money out of your own pocket.

At Northpoint, we are in partnership with many of the large insurance companies. This includes:

  • Blue Cross of Idaho
  • Harvard Pilgrim Healthcare
  • United Healthcare
  • Humana
  • Aetna
  • Multiplan
  • Optum
  • AmeriHealth
  • Cigna
  • Blue Cross Blue Shield
  • Tufts Health Plan
  • Oxford Health Plans

If your insurance company isn’t mentioned above, that doesn’t mean our programs aren’t covered by them. Verify your insurance with us to see. We are also available for your inquiries anytime.

Someone addicted to drugs is at high risk of overdosing. So what can you do to help someone when you suspect they’ve overdosed?

Call 911 immediately and report any paraphernalia in the area. They may stop breathing or they may have a seizure. They could alternatively be quite high energy but mentally out of it. This puts them at risk of hurting themselves.

Call an ambulance or get them to the ER in Sandpoint as soon as possible.

The symptoms of alcohol poisoning will make it obvious that something is wrong with the person. They may be conscious but they will look completely out of it. Their speech will be slurred, their eyes will be half open. They will move slowly and awkwardly. Alternatively, they may have passed out. In this case, make sure they’re not on their back as they can choke on their own vomit.

It’s important to get them to a Sandpoint hospital if you suspect alcohol poisoning. They can stop breathing completely. Either drive them to the ER or call 911.

From Sandpoint to Northpoint Recovery, it’s an 8 hour drive.

The Greyhound bus serves this route but it’s a long haul.

There is no flight out of Sandpoint to Northpoint Recovery in Boise but you can fly out of Spokane, WA and it’s a 1 hour and 15 minute flight.

Drug and Alcohol Help in Sandpoint, Idaho: Is Northpoint Recovery Right for You?

Going to an inpatient addiction recovery facility like Northpoint will help you focus on the healing process. You will have no distractions and because you’re away from home, you’ll be totally anonymous as you recover. Another positive for attending inpatient rehabilitation is you’ll be in resident care. This means that all your needs are tended to during your stay. You will never be alone in your struggles.

You are given nutritious food that will help the body recover. Exercise will be a part of your daily life during rehab too. Cons of Attending an Inpatient Addiction Recovery Facility

While there are plenty of good reasons to go to Northpoint Recovery for the first stages of recovery, this may not necessarily be for everyone. You will need help with your addiction no matter what you decide on. For you, this might be an outpatient rehab program in Sandpoint or nearby. You might just feel that 12-step meetings are enough. Acknowledging you have a problem and that you need help is a big step in itself.

Inpatient addiction facilities

Inpatient addiction facilities are the most expensive option because you’re getting the best treatment. That being said, it may not be covered through your insurance. With an outpatient program, you’re more likely to have it paid for in full or at least partial. If not, it’s still much less than the cost of inpatient care. It may not be realistic for you to attend inpatient rehab because you have responsibilities you have to tend to at home. Again, this is where outpatient treatment can meet your needs. You may also be eligible for certain free addiction programs in Sandpoint. These are often government funded and you have to be in a specific position in your life to be accepted. If you are however, you can usually expect good outpatient treatment with plenty of support.

Outpatient addiction facilities

If you’re suffering with an addiction to drugs or alcohol, it’s so important for you to reach out and get help as soon as possible. You may feel as though you’re going to be stuck in your addiction for the rest of your life, but it doesn’t have to be that way. At Northpoint Recovery, we can provide you with the type of addiction help you need, in addition to the above resources. If you would like to learn more about how we can help, please contact us.

At Northpoint, we offer a 28 day inpatient program. You will stay with us as we use all proven methods used in addiction recovery today. We have the highest staff to patient ratio in the area. This gives you much needed attention on a daily basis. You may have lost hope in the past, trying to manage your addiction on your own. It doesn’t have to be that way. See what a huge difference it makes when you have professional support and gain all the tools you need to get past addiction.
