The Northpoint Recovery Scholarship is not accepting applications for the 2020 school year. Please check back in the spring of 2020 for the opportunity to apply for the 2021 spring semester award.
If you’d like to prepare your submission in advance, here is what our process looks like.
At Northpoint Recovery, our nationally recognized drug and alcohol rehab facility, we pride ourselves on the ideals laid out by the following four words: autonomy, integrity, hope, and thrive. We are committed in practice and in our hearts to help people achieve the best version of themselves. A great example of personal growth can be seen in the pursuit of higher education, and we are pleased to offer an annual college scholarship in the amount of $1,000 for students attending a two or four year university program.
Applicants are asked to prepare a 500 - 1,000-word essay that talks about the ways in which substance abuse and/or addiction has affected their lives. Submissions should include:
Your full name, age, phone number, address, and the name of the university you attend. You give us express consent to confirm your admission and attendance by contacting the college or university.
To apply, send an email including the above information, your essay, and a copy of your transcript to email@example.com with the subject line: Last Name, First Name - 2021 Northpoint Scholarship.

Applications are typically accepted from January 1 - November 1 every year. Any application received after the November 1 deadline will not be accepted.
The winner of the Northpoint Recovery College Scholarship will be announced on December 1. Scholarship money will be sent via mail by check.

By submitting an application to Northpoint Recovery you certify that all the information you have provided is accurate and complete. You agree to transfer all rights and ownership of your essay and all submitted information to Northpoint Recovery, whether or not you are selected as a winner. You also agree that your name, essay, and award amount may be used on our website, through announcements, or articles (i.e. social media, newsletter, etc) issued by Northpoint Recovery. If you would like to remain anonymous whenever Northpoint publishes your essay you must request this in your initial submission.
The selection of winners is entirely at the discretion of Northpoint Recovery. Winners will be contacted via the email address that was used to submit the application.
